Grand Union Orchestra
The Grand Union Orchestra (GUO) is the acknowledged pioneer and leading exponent of cross-cultural music-making in the UK.
RMAM shares GUO's belief that it is more important than ever in today's Britain to bring people of all ages and cultures together to create work which reflects and responds to our country's ever-widening demographic and helps to create unity and heal division.
RMAM supports GUO, led by Tony Haynes (Artistic Director and resident
composer) with project development and production management skills.
We are currently developing performance opportunities for the Grand Union All Stars, an exciting new ensemble featuring key musicians from the Orchestra in a range of musical setting highlighting their cultural and musical diversity.

BrightSparks School Concerts
RMAM has enjoyed a long association over 20+ years with the LPO's Education and Community programme ranging across project programming, planning, producing and production.
We are currently providing production support for two key project strands:
FUNharmonics Family Concerts
A firm family favourite in the LPO concert calendar offering a great musical introduction to the sound of the symphony orchestra for children (mainly 6 years and over) and well-behaved partner and carers! Lighting and big screen projections all add to the FUN!
BrightSparks School Concerts
The London Philharmonic Orchestra's BrightSparks concerts are aimed at Key Stages 1–5, offering the opportunity for school students to experience an orchestral concert – live!
Each year the LPO provides 10,000 students with this opportunity, with the programming and presentation of the concerts designed in line with National Curriculum objectives.
Music is for Life
This bi-annual concert spectacular presented by Merton Music Foundation at the Royal Albert Hall showcases the very best musical talent that the London Borough of Merton has to offer.
In March 2019, Music is for Life: Liquid History featured 1500 young singers and instrumentalists. This massed school and community music project, produced by RMAM, used the theme of rivers to explore relationships between young people in Merton and their rich, diverse, cultural and social backgrounds.
RMAM is now working on Merton Music Foundation's 25th Anniversary concert coming up in March 2021.
St Paul's Way Trust Science Summer School
Celebrating its eighth successful year in 2019, St Paul’s Way Trust Science Summer School (SPWTSSS London) aims to inspire and encourage our next generation of scientists and engineers and to help realise the aim of its host and guest speaker, Professor Brian Cox OBE, to make Britain 'the best place in the world to do science'.
Each year 400 secondary school students from London, the north of England and Northern Ireland come together to experience a unique and innovative programme of TED-style seminars, practical workshops and networking opportunities.
SPWTSSS London offers an exciting view of cutting edge scientific research alongside exploration of scientific areas in greater depth than lessons allow or that lie outside of the normal science curriculum completely. Whatever the specific nature of the workshop, presentation or talk, Science Summer School helps those with a genuine enjoyment of STEAM based subjects to learn from some of the most influential and internationally renowned scientific minds in the world.
RMAM is working as Project Consultant to SPWTSSS London 2020 and is also supporting partners in Rotherham, Skelmersdale and Northern Ireland to develop their own Science Summer Schools.

Trinity Buoy Wharf Live!
Trinity Buoy Wharf is a truly unique East London location. For the past 21 years, the regeneration experts, Urban Space Management (USM) , have developed this Victorian industrial site transforming it into a thriving creative quarter.
In 2019 RMAM joined forces with USM to start building an arts programme utilising the exciting venues on site. Trinity Buoy Wharf Live! is the first step towards inviting great artists to come and perform at TBW and to encourage more people to come and experience and enjoy the site.
RMAM programmed a series of 6 Jazz Wednesday concerts from April to September 2019 in a bespoke 'pop up' club-style venue featuring a host of talented jazz and world artists including Grand Union All Stars, Dorance Lorza and Sexteto Cafe, Mishka Adams and Beto Caletti, Dave O'Higgins Quartet and The Blues and Roots Ensemble. The next series starts in April 2020.
RMAM is now developing a wider arts programme with USM for 2020/2021 under the Rising Tides banner.
Water City Music at the Tower Festival
This annual music festival, presented by the Water City Music charity in partnership with Historic Royal Palaces and produced by RMAM, mixes history with music and takes cross-curricular learning to a new level, while creating life-long memories for your students.
School groups from London and around England perform by invitation in choirs, instrumental groups and bands across three stages set within the iconic Tower location.
All the music is connected to the Tower theme of ‘Fortress, Palace, Prison’ and learning about the Tower story is an integral part of the experience.
